Our Firm
Continuum Law was founded by Robert P. Cogan, a business and intellectual property lawyer with over 30 years of experience.  He was chief patent counsel of EG&G, Inc. prior to its acquisition by Perkin Elmer.  EG&G was a Fortune 200 company with diversified high technology operations on all seven continents.  Mr. Cogan managed development and enforcement of worldwide patent and trademark portfolios.   Technology transfer and establishment of spin-off companies were significant uses of intellectual property to expand business. He negotiated multimillion dollar agreements, including software licenses, distributorships, and joint research projects. 
 
He was part of the company's acquisitions team, participating in acquisitions in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

We serve established companies who do not have in-house counsel, and we consult to larger companies and their law departments.  We also serve start-up companies and individual entrepreneurs.
